有會議就要開會。有些會是真的須要開的,但,大家撫心自問,平日開的會,有多少個是過份漫長、多少個係非必要、多少個是到最後都沒結果、多少個係被上頭利用做樣給老闆看:「瞧,我在為公司做 o緊嘢!」呢?
當然,有時真是非要齊集有關人等商討不可,不過,事實是,很多時我們所謂開的會,即使開少三份一甚至一半,亦絕對不會對業務有任何影響。
有好多人却以有會開為榮。我有你無,那表示高人一等嘛。我最鍾意欣賞有些人當我問他忙啥時,他就裝作好不喜歡的答道:「開會呀~~~~」嘻哈哈~ 好好笑的真係。
試過有一次,好忙。有某個我已經忍他很久的超級麻煩客打電話給我叫我去開會,那次我終於開火:「又開會?!今趟又開セ _ 會?你成Q日開 _ 晒啲 _ _ 會浪 _ 費晒『kick』_ 住晒我啲時間,你想吩咐我幫你做嘢,冇問題,我很樂意。嗱,而家就喺電話講,好冇唧?會呢,我唔 _ 同你開。」那位平時恃着自己係客的超煩人結果幾句就將想我為他做的事交代好了。看,如果我那次又去開那會,開的肯定又係廢會。
記得從前有一位女上司,她其中有一項是我很欣賞並佩服的創舉。她在辦公室的會議廳門口貼上一張通告,上面只寥寥幾字寫道:「如非必須,敬請不要使用會議廳。多謝合作。」掂!
不過,如果平時不怎麼忙,有時我都幾喜歡開會的。因為又無須做,只要人在會中時抽口煙,弄一兩下筆,皺下眉並作沉思狀,適當地間中點下頭跟幾句,或插問一兩條適當無關痛癢問題,就功德圓滿。訶尼陀佛。

Learnt it from a management seminar:-
Rule No. 1 to be a manager - If you could avoid a meeting, avoid it. If you cannot think of another way to solve a problem, then you meet. If you just want to give assignment, provide status report (one-way communication) etc., use e-mail or phone.
Rule No. 2 - If you just want to see the secretary because she is pretty, go and date her, don't call a meeting and waste other people's time.
You only call a meeting if you want to hear more than 2 voices.
